The external one picks up sounds from the environment, while the internal one reduces noise inside the ear, together diminishing external sounds by up to 35 dB. The system combines unwanted noises at ultrasonic frequencies, effectively eliminating them almost entirely.

Several NC modes allow you to select the appropriate level of noise reduction for the current situation. The transparent mode is perfect for walking or running, as it lets you hear ambient sounds to be fully aware of what is happening around you.
