If you are using iOS 17 or newer, you can also share the locator's position with close family members. This is a convenient solution when multiple people use the same item. It is worth noting that the locator does not work with the Android system.
Effective finding – near and far
If the locator is within Bluetooth range, you can turn on the sound in the app, which will help you quickly find it. When it's out of range, the device uses the extensive Apple Find My network, which utilizes nearby iPhones as relays to determine the current location of the lost item.
