Lightweight, high-quality DuPont Kevlar® material provides industry-leading protection. It is characterized by its ability to withstand high temperatures, and its unique structure of numerous inter-chain bonds provides extraordinary strength. KEVLAR fibers have such a tight weave that it is almost impossible to separate them. This is why KEVLAR is used in the manufacture of bulletproof vests. When a bullet or other high-velocity projectile strikes the surface of the material, its fibers stop it, absorbing and dissipating the force of the impact.
