LIGHTWEIGHT FKM CONSTRUCTION
The Sport Band is a strap for the Apple Watch, made from lightweight elastomer
FKM, which combines
flexibility with high durability. This material conforms to the wrist while maintaining stability even during intense use. The FKM structure is designed to provide long-lasting comfort without a feeling of stiffness. At the same time, this material is resistant to water and can be cleaned using basic agents, allowing it to maintain its functional properties without the need for specialized care. The strap's construction retains its shape and functionality in all conditions, which directly results from the properties of the material used and the way it is formed.
PIN AND TUCK SYSTEM
The applied
pin-and-tuck fastening mechanism is based on an aluminum pin that passes through the adjustment holes and then allows the end of the strap to be tucked under its surface. This solution eliminates protruding elements and ensures a stable fit to the wrist. The fastening design is low-profile, which translates to user comfort and a cohesive appearance of the entire strap. The aluminum fastening element has been integrated into the construction in a way that ensures secure holding and ease of length adjustment. This mechanism operates in a repeatable manner and does not require additional securing elements.
VENTILATION CHANNELS
The inner part of the strap is equipped with adjustment holes along its entire length, which support
air circulation. This design helps to reduce moisture accumulation between the strap and the skin, which directly affects wearing comfort during activities. The distribution of holes along the entire length allows for precise circumference adjustment without limiting the material's flexibility. Thanks to the properties of FKM, the strap maintains a breathable structure even during prolonged wear.
FKM SURFACE STRUCTURE
The surface of the strap is finished with a subtle microstructure that affects the way the material feels against the skin. This structure gives the surface a uniform, smooth finish while maintaining
anti-slip properties. As a result, the strap remains securely positioned on the wrist without the need to increase the fastening force. The microstructure has been integrated with the material during production, which means there are no additional coatings and a consistent characteristic across the entire surface. The visual effect remains understated and consistent with the technical design of the product, without unnecessary decorative elements.
WATERPROOF CONSTRUCTION
The strap and aluminum fastening element have been designed to be fully
waterproof, allowing for wear without the need for additional protection. The construction does not require special treatment after contact with water, and cleaning can be done using standard methods, such as washing with a sponge and cleaning agent. The waterproofing directly results from the properties of the FKM material and the metal components used, which do not degrade under typical usage conditions.
